Hometown show in the boogie down – October 9th

On Friday, October 9th, we’re playing our first show at home at the one and only FLC (with the Bronx Underground) since the STS Feast was cancelled and since we’ve burrowed in the studio to work on new material.

Since we promised we’d make it up to you for STS–we asked on our twitter page what you guys wanted to see us play live.  The top responses so far have been: the new unreleased songs, Sleepless, Too Far, Too Long, Jump Off Summer.

Reply with more requests below and we’ll do our best to get the top ones together for this show!

Here’s the flyer & the Facebook event page

Please spread the word and come and say hi if you’re in the area, since this is one of the few shows we’ll be playing because of our busy recording schedule.  We’ll definitely be playing some of the never-before-played/heard new songs AND, as you can see, the line-up is awesome as well :)

As always, our thanks & love.
Hope to see you guys soon!

what inspires you?

as i’ve been sitting down to write these days i’ve been spending a lot of time thinking about what inspires me to do this in the first place. what kinds of things do we see and live that drive us to create? what inspires this music?

here’s a list i’ve begun to come up with (in no specific order) that i’ll add to:

-spending time outside–in the city, on trains, in parks, at beaches
-listening to music, music, and more music.
-watching movies
-playing my guitar
-laughing with friends until tears are rolling down your face
-having a really good conversation with a friend
-reading, reading, and more reading
-my family
-my friends
-the friends we make at shows
-the thought of playing a song live
-dreams
-crowded streets with busy people
-park benches with people contemplating
-seeing someone helping someone that they don’t know
-summertime
-long car rides
-listening
-seeing something like this

Final Fantasy inspires me. Its one of the few videos games that takes the human persona at its finest and mixes them with both conflicting and other \friendly\ persona.

Last day to vote for AMW for Rock It Out Blog’s band of the week!

A Moment’s Worth was featured in the latest episode of Rock it Out Blog’s band battle for a spot as band of the week!  We’re representing the east coast in the competition and are up against some great bands (such as Dead County, Night Terror, and The Choke)

Here’s how you can help: simply comment on the video below. That’s it. If you would like to tweet the link to your friends and ask them to do the same, that’d be awesome! If not, a simple vote with “AMW” or “A Moment’s Worth” would be a huge help.

Today is the last day and the winner will be announced tomorrow.  Thank you guys for all of the votes that you’ve submitted for us!
