What is a moment’s worth?

A moment’s worth is finding that what you thought you were missing has always been right there with you all along—you just never looked close enough. A moment’s worth is having a conversation with a best friend and only years later feeling the impact and relevance of the words he spoke.

A moment’s worth is the rush you felt when you first fell in love, and the pain that came when that love ended: it’s watching something you’ve believed in for years fall apart, bit by agonizing bit. A moment’s worth is realizing that all is not lost. It is a new beginning. It is learning when to hold on and when to let go.

It is the flash of insight that comes to you at the most unexpected of times. It is trying to figure it all out and realizing that perhaps right now you can’t and shouldn’t. A moment’s worth is making peace with bewilderment.

Most of all, perhaps it’s simply learning to recognize the often elusive but tremendous importance of each unique instant.

Such as this one.

Right here. Right now.

This is a moment’s worth.
